“We’re pretending it didn’t happen, okay? Don’t even look at me.” His words are followed promptly by the hand that plasters itself to his face as he shakes his head in what could only be considered his inability to settle for one emotion. What real embarrassment there may have been had long since dissipated, only to be replaced by quality acting he was certain would not go wasted on Doojoon.The delight that the continuous exhibition of the latter’s feelings in terms of his interaction with the couch had made itself evident on his features in the way that his seemingly permanent smile stayed unrelenting on the curves of his lips. He watched with an undeniable pleasure, the other’s words initiating a short string of laughter that had been stifled, though only slightly, for the sake of not bringing too much attention to themselves.
“Ah, you’re really crazy, aren’t you? What makes you think I deserve to be on your radar?” He asks with just a hint of challenging mischievousness in his words. “If I did–would I be here, helping you get a girl when I could just as easily have them myself?” His words were said playfully, as if to continue poking at the latter’s presumed fears in terms of him and his chances of success.
As if to make a decision for the both of them, Doojoon pushed himself up from the sofa with his drink in his hand, the straw in his mouth as he sucked the contents of the drink as fast as he could. “Alright, we can go now.” He said once he set down the cup, his words weaker due to the energy that it took to exert his previous action. “Come on, before the snootiness continues rubbing off on us.” In spite of the fact that his words were of pure fun, he walked quickly towards the door, not even bothering to look behind him to check if his friend had followed suit.
