“Hey, hey, Jim-“ Jaejin gave his drink a cautious slurp so as not to poke himself in the mouth with his straw before sitting his drink precariously atop his knee- as if it wouldn’t be jostled from its perch there by the moving car. “Do you know where we’re going? Where the place is at?”
Then, just as soon as he’d finished his latest enquiry, he launched into another, this one with a considerably more whinier tone. Slumping into his seat with drink now pressed to his cheek, he continued, “Why wouldn’t you let me drive, Bibum? The road to the farm is open anyway, it’s not like I could wreck here! ~”
Suddenly realizing something else, he pressed further, “I didn’t tell you what kind of animal I was looking for either, did I?” He released a quiet (somewhat) malicious cackle, tapped the pads of his fingers together in something resembling maniacal elation.
